Terms and Conditions
1. The agreement is between ourselves and the policyholder, by joining our burial society, the member accepts these terms and conditions, which may change from time to time, and the main member will be informed telephonically, verbally, or electronically. It is, therefore, the responsibility of the policyholder to inform the burial society of any changes in their personal details such as contact details, residential addresses, etc.
2. Burial society premiums are paid on a monthly basis in advance, i.e., you may pay in January for the month of February or January in the month of February.
3. No payment means no benefits. Doing a payment after death is equal to no payment.
4. A policy will automatically lapse after 3 months of non-payment, and policy reinstatement is subject to a waiting PERIOD.
5. All benefits are subject to a standard waiting period of 6 months (suicide 24 months), counted from the date of joining and/or the date of registering a dependent. The waiting period may be waived if a member comes from another burial society with an up-to-date payment history.
6. All dependents must have valid ID numbers upon registering, no ID number, no cover, even if the name Is written by hand. A person without an ID number needs to have a special cover.
7. Burial Society is not an investment scheme, therefore no refunds on premiums can be entertained under any circumstances.
8. Where a member does not require a funeral service, we will make a cash payout in the amount that will be applicable at the time.
9. A dependent can only be registered under one policy, should it happen that a dependent appears on more than one policy, only the account holder will be entertained in respect of claiming.
10. We do not deliver groceries; families will be sent a grocery voucher.

12. Collection and delivery of bodies for societies are only free Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Gauteng
13. additional extra transport fee may be charged to the family to transport their loved one out side the mentioned provinces
14. Certain accidental/hospital death may be subject to free repatriations, particularly in areas where we have offices, otherwise clause 13 will apply.
15. Given the number of branches we have, we reserve the right to store bodies at any facility located anywhere it is convenient for us. Free mortuary is limited to 5 days (including weekends), and excess days will be charged for. Exceptions may be made for bodies collected on Thursdays.
16. Clients who have registered policies with Us outside of the provinces mentioned in clause 12, will be subjected to accommodation and transportation fees enquired during the preparation of the funeral. The fees are to be paid at least 2 days before the funeral. No exceptions allowed.
17. Only claims supported by valid documentation will be entertained, obtaining these documents is the member/family, and where money needs to be paid in this regard, such is the responsibility of the member/family.
18. Where the member is the deceased or is unable to make funeral arrangements, proof of identification or affidavit may be required to confirm that the person(s) making such arrangements, has the authority to do so.
19. Where a body is removed from our care/facilities after we have collected it, removal and administrative fees will be charged and must be paid before the body is released.
20. Families are responsible for ensuring that they identify and collect correct bodies from our facilities and that they send the right person(s) to conduct identification as we cannot be held responsible for any mistakes/error
